It’s all about the artifacts!

This blog delves into history and fun facts about local artifacts – Caledon, Orangeville, Toronto, Ontario, Canada, or from my past home, Porchester, Portsmouth, Hampshire, England.¬† Plus all things military, particularly Royal Navy, Women’s Land Army.

As well as the aspects of the museum, archive, and art worlds, posts cover artifact conservation too.

Alison is passionate to encourage everyone to capture the story and preserve the history behind artifacts!

You’ll see occasional posts about museum software PastPerfect¬† ‘handy hints’ and more!

  1. Your image of a Howard illluminated adddress ,it may have been part of a memorial exhibition at the Toronto art gallery shortly after his death. I have collected many Howard items over the years. They do not show up often as they are kept in the family. I have found more than thirty in private and family collections. Jan kamermans 9055251440.
